Making Canada my new home!?

As many people know moving to a new country is not an easy task! I'm 24 years old and I am still a 'newly wedded woman' as it hasn't been long since I got married...Infact I only got married this year (2010) in July to be precise! I love married life except for when my husband has to go to work and then I'm on my own again...so I've had to find things to do to keep myself sane and keep me occupied!

At first the first few months of living in Canada was easy and I just well errr...cleaned the apartment up and made it look and feel more homely! So when my mum or any of my family called they would ask what I've been up to and the answer would be...well 'I've been cleaning most of the day' haha!...But then eventually there is only so much cleaning a person can do!

Soooo the next couple of months I spent time watching serials and shows online...I really got addicted to 'DROP DEAD DIVA..until it came to the end of the series...ugghhh!...oh and then my youngest sister also got me hooked on XFACTOR...the British version...and every week I would look forward to watching that...welll yes we all now MATT CARDLE won ...great singer but I'm not very fond of his new single though! :S

So now where have I got to..Oh yes...soooo four months have passed and I have managed to keep my self occupied...so now comes the deadly total of 6 months (adding in the month that just passed and the month that I am now in...DECEMBER!!!)

SOOO.....in these two months well Xfactor finished at this point...soooo I'm thinking what to do now! :S ...Well there would be my dark days where I would just feel sorry for myself and I would just lie in bed throwing many valuable hours away where I could have been doing something productive with my life! I would spend a great deal of time just browsing facebook seeing what other people have been upto...my family would call me and I would talk to them. But I just felt a huge void in my life! I don't know many people in Toronto so not like I could really call anyone up and say 'hey want to go somewhere for a bite to eat?'.  Well I do have my husband's cousins and they are lovely and I hang out with them sometimes but they have things to do and I don't want to feel like a tag-a-long everywhere kind of person lol!
My husband told me to read and do something productive with myself...but it is easier said than done. So I browsed around on the Internet for volunteer placements...luckily I got a placement within an ESL school... and I work there for one day...not alot but it's something! Also now to keep myself occupied I have started blogging, singing and playing my musical instruments, looking for new vegetarian recipes I can get my hands into, and most important of all praying...as I honsestly believe that has helped me through my dark and dreary days as well as my great and happy days...sooo I suppose I know I'm not lonely at all...I still have God with me. :)

Well for a first time blogger..this is turning out to be quite a long blog! yaaay mee! :D

I think I will end it here for now and maybe tomorrow I will have something else to blog/rant on about! :D

take care...love...peace and all! :P

GeeGee xXx....

P.S...I've added a lovely picture of Niagra Falls>>> taken when I first came to Canada on holiday last year!!! :D ...*sighhh...beautiful*
